Publication Ethics
This statement of scientific code of ethics represents the ethical code for all parties involved in the publication process of Procuratio : Jurnal Ilmian Manajemen, including the management team, editors, peer reviewers, and authors. The core values of the scientific publication code of ethics include three ethical principles in publishing, namely: (1) Neutrality, meaning free from conflicts of interest in publication management. (2) Fairness, meaning granting authorship rights to those who are entitled to be recognized as authors. (3) Honesty, meaning free from plagiarism in publication.
Publisher's Responsibilities
- The publisher is responsible for publishing manuscripts that have gone through editing, reviewing, and layout processes in accordance with the journal's publication guidelines.
- The publisher is responsible for ensuring academic freedom for editors and reviewers in performing their respective duties.
- The publisher is responsible for maintaining editorial privacy and freedom.
Editor's Responsibilities
- The editor is responsible for deciding which manuscripts are suitable for publication through editorial board meetings, in accordance with editorial policy. To detect plagiarism, validated software is used.
- In the review and acceptance process, the editorial team is committed to non-discriminatory behavior and does not differentiate based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political ideology of the author.
- Editors and editorial staff will not disclose the identity of reviewers to authors or vice versa (double-blind peer review).
- Manuscripts that are not published will not be used by the editor for personal gain and will be returned directly to the author.
Reviewers' Responsibilities
- Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions on submitted articles..
- Reviewers are responsible for providing recommendations on the articles they review.
- Reviews are conducted in a blind and objective manner, supported by clear arguments.
- Reviewers are responsible for the accuracy of citations and references in the articles they review.
- Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not use information from the articles they review for personal purposes.
Copyeditor's Responsibilities
- The copyeditor is responsible for checking citations and references in the article after receiving input from peer reviewers.
- The copyeditor is responsible for verifying whether the reviewers' suggestions have been implemented.
- The copyeditor ensures that the article aligns with the Procuratio editorial policies.
Author's Responsibilities
- Authors must present research or conceptual articles clearly, honestly, and free from plagiarism.
- Authors must cite the opinions and works of others they refer to.
- Authors are responsible for any clarification required regarding their submitted article.
- Authors must write ethically, honestly, and responsibly in accordance with accepted scientific writing standards.
- Authors agree to allow their article to be edited without altering its substance.
