Along with the proliferation of journals in Universities, as well as the demands of lecturers as educators in carrying out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, one of them is research. In order to find out the results of the lecturer's research by public, Pelita Indonesia School of Computer Science launched the journal PI-Cache for the first time. The PI in the first word refers to Pelita Indonesia while the cache itself is a temporary storage medium for data. So PI-Cache is an article storage media in the form of printed media. PI-Cache (ISSN: 2252-3960) was established in 2012 and it is published three times a year, namely April, August and December.

In 2016, present Journal of Information Systems and Informatics Engineering (JOISIE) is a development of PI-Cache. JOISIE comes with a new atmosphere along with the demands of journal accreditation, with the appearance of the OJS 2.0 website for the first time. JOISIE (e-ISSN: 2527-3116) is published twice a year, June and December. Since June 2018, JOISIE has used a new domain, namely http://www.ejournal.pelitaindonesia.ac.id/ojs32/index.php/JOISIE/index with the appearance of OJS 3.0.
