Publication Ethics

Publication Ethics statement is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process of the Kurs scientific journal, namely managers, editors, reviewers and authors. The core of the scientific publication code of ethics includes three ethical values ​​in publication: (1) Neutrality, being free from conflicts of interest in managing publications (2) Justice, giving authorship rights to those entitled as authors (3) Honesty, being free from plagiarism in publications.

Publisher's Responsibilities

  1. Kurs Publisher is responsible for publishing manuscripts that have gone through the editing, review, and layout processes in accordance with the rules for publishing Scientific Journals.
  2. Kurs Publisher is responsible for guaranteeing academic freedom for editors and peer reviewers in carrying out their respective duties.
  3. Kurs Publisher is responsible for maintaining privacy and editorial freedom.

Editor's Responsibilities

  1. The Kurs Editor is responsible for deciding which manuscripts are worthy of publication through an editorial board meeting that refers to the editorial policy. Meanwhile, to detect plagiarism, it is done using validated software.
  2. In the process of reviewing and accepting manuscripts, the editor team is based on the principle of equality of behavior in making decisions to publish manuscripts without distinguishing between race, gender, religion, ethnicity, citizenship or political ideology of the author.
  3. The editorial and editor team will not inform the author about who reviewed the eligibility for publication and vice versa (double blind peer review).
  4. Unpublished manuscripts will not be used by the editor researchers for their own interests and will be returned directly to the author.

Reviewer's Responsibilities

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions on submitted articles..

  1. Reviewers are responsible for the recommendations of the articles they review.
  2. Article reviews are conducted in a blind, objective and supported by clear arguments.
  3. Reviewers are responsible for citations and references to the articles they review.
  4. Reviewers must always maintain the confidentiality of information and not use information from the articles they review for their own interests.

Editor's Responsibilities

  1. Editors are responsible for citations and references to the articles they review after receiving suggestions or input from reviewers.
  2. Editors are responsible for correcting whether the suggestions from reviewers have been carried out.
  3. Editors are responsible for correcting articles to ensure they are in accordance with Kurs policies.

Author's Responsibilities

  1. Author presents research articles or ideas clearly, honestly, and without plagiarism.
  2. Author must show references from the opinions and works of others that are quoted.
  3. Author is responsible for the confirmation submitted for the article that has been written.
  4. Author must write articles ethically, honestly, and responsibly, in accordance with applicable scientific writing regulations.
  5. Author does not mind if the article is edited without changing the substance.
